Birth control pills causing severe depression?

I am 15 years old and I have a family history of bipolar depression on both sides of the family. Recently it had been well controlled (no anxiety attacks, no harsh mood swings, no suicidal thoughts or actions, etc.). I have always had a very heavy, painful period. My cramps immobilize me and I get severe migraines the day before my period. My gynecologist recommended that I start a birth control regimen to regulate and lighten my period, so she prescribed me BeYaz and Naproxen 500 mg (I don't take the latter because it causes excessive joint pain). Ever since about a week after I started the pill I had been very irritable and moody, and recently it has progressed to the point where I cry all the time and sleep all day. The only thing I can compare it to is depression. I was wondering if it is all due to the certain pill or if it is entirely because of my preexisting condition. I want to fix it, but I cannot come off of the pill as I do not want to have to experience a painful period again and I have recently become sexually active (I don't want to hear it, it was a choice all on my own and I am in a very stable, happy relationship). Would asking about antidepressants interfere with the birth control pills or any pain medication in the Naproxen family? What kind of antidepressant works the best on minors? Should I try a different brand of birth control pill? Reminder, I CANNOT come off the pill. Thanks!

He is going out of control and we can't stand him anymore. I think he is going to be in big trouble if he ever goes to vietnam. How do you know when you didn't get a job?

I had an interview yesterday afternoon. I fit the job perfectly, we went over everything, even ins, time off and other stuff. However, I was told there were 2 other candidates and there was going to be (understandably) some deliberation to determine who would fill the position. Am I "supposed" to get a call to let me know one way or the other, if the job is mine. Or, is there some general time frame that I should wait and if I DON'T get a call, I didn't get the job. The other detail is that the interviewer did mention that today was going to be a hectic day, which is why she saw me yesterday afternoon. I'm stressing and don't know what to expect. Why would you yell at kids to quite down? Was it night time? (probably not) let kids be kids, and if your gonna tell them to qeutie down why would you yell? telling them nicely is fine enough.

I feel the same way some of the time, I like my solitude, but also feel lonely and want company sometimes. Perhaps not quite the same as how you describe, but I do think I can understand how you are feeling. I don't think it's a mental disorder, more just a minor problem which you need to think about and overcome. I think the problem is that you're possibly reading too much into things, have people mentioned a lot that you act cold towards them? Maybe you just think you're acting really cold, but other people don't see it that way. Talk to a close friend or a family member about it, perhaps in writing or on the phone if that's easier, you might find that you're not as bad as you think you are :)

How do you know if you have insomnia?

I don't sleep for about 2 nights in a row and then I will sleep for maybe 6 hours and then not sleep again... And when I do sleep I wake up throughout it! Dover Saddlery saddle fitter?

My saddle no longer fits my horse. As a youngster it fit him nicely but over the past few years his body has changed and he has gotten much taller and has developed much more muscle. The saddle is starting to pinch his back and causing his top-line to deteriorate :( there are no professional saddle fitters anywhere near my area so I contacted Dover saddlery. They told me that they have a saddle fitter and he e-mailed me a list of measurements to take with a flexible ruler and then trace it on a paper. I send these tracing along with pictures to Dover and they will tell me what type/size(wide, narrow, etc) would fit him best. has anyone done this or does it seem legit? I don't want to do this and then buy a saddle that doesn't fit...does it seem too sketch to go about doing this? Thank you!

Too early for mood swings (but not for PMS), Amount of poop has nothing to do with pregnancy (all the extra food your eating is likely the cause), Nipples usually get darker and VERY sore (it was the first syptom I noticed - even before the test showed I was positive), To early for morning sickness, menstration can also affect hunger levels, too early to be "eating for two"

How to start off my Fantasy story? Help?

okay before i start, im on a phone writing this. Im only 14. Herp, now lets go! Its the usual "Wake up morning routine" sprinkled differently to match the characters and setting. Ok firstly in July I will have had my period 2 years and for the most part it was regular. Like 2-3 months ago I was riding a dirtbike and had to bail because the throttle stuck. When I landed I landed on my right hip and had scrapes on my arms and back and stuff, but anyways the bruise on my hip was the size of like a softball and it went away in about a week.The bruise was in my hipbone area and didn't go into my lower belly or anything like that. Now there is just a scar where the button on my jeans dug in. I'm kinda going off topic but ever since then I really haven't had a period. For like a week I get REALLY HEAVY discharge that is clear but smells wierd. I live in the desert and whenever I wear a liner I smell it so I was thinking maybe it was the heat making it smell like that. I've taken the liner off and smelt nothing but had to put one back on because I don't wanna feel wet and I know its gross but I smelled the tissue once and didn't smell anything either.And after I crashed I didn't bleed or anything down there or have pains,or anything abnormal. Now I just get really heavy discharge for a week and yeah... I made a comment to my mom about not having a period ever since I crashed ( I didn't tell her about the discharge and liner and stuff..it's too embarassing) and she said I should go to the drs. Do you think this is just a short term thing and my cycle will go back to normal and if I should go to the drs? I wanna be healthy but I don't wanna be felt and probed on. Do I have Bipolar Disorder or am I Depressed or both?

I've been having a hard time figuring out if I'm Bipolar or if this is depression or both. So usually my pattern is, one day I'm happy, I'm energetic, life is great and perfect, I can make my own decisions, I like to go about with my normal activities(exercising, texting, hanging out with friends and family, etc) then a couple of days later, I don't want to do anything, I don't want to talk to anyone, but then again I do I just don't know who I want to talk to, I feel like I'm missing something in my life, I get sad then super irritable, angry, then I cool down then I forget what's going on, I don't want to hang out with anyone, I want to be on my own, I have a hard time making decisions, etc.I've also been REALLY jumpy than usual. What could possibly be the problem? What can be done about this?

I was just wondering because in 7th grade my parents brought me to a psychietrist (spelling) because I was making bad grades. Basicly I wasn't turning in my homework at all and was making 100's for tests so I was making overall 70's. Well the psychietrist told my parents that I had a problem and needed heavy medication. Ofcoarse my parents are good people so they said thank you for your time and just left. Now I am a junior in high school and make high 80's and low 90's. So now I believe that those diseases aren't real and are just a cause of bad parenting and nothing hereditary. I have even taken ADHD pills and all they did was make me irritable and angry.

Fatigue and Headaches. Is it something to worry about?

I don't know if theres something wrong or if I am just under stress. I've been super fatigued the past few months and for no reason. I also have been getting really bad headaches in my temples and behind my eyes. They tested my thyroid and vitamin d levels. my vitamin d level was low but now it's normal so that didn't solve anything. I have been super irritable and I have had horrible anxiety. The anxiety I have had for years but it's been especially worse lately.I've been put on 2 different antidepressants and they only seem to make me feel worse and have random crying outbursts. The other day I went to bed around 2 am and I didn't wakeup to anything or at all until 12:45 pm the next day which was an hour before I needed to be at work. I've tried different things but I can't fall asleep and when I do, I never want to get out of bed. My headaches have been getting worse and more frequent. They are bad especially around my period, and then I get horrible migraines. I can't keep sleeping for 12 hours and I can't deal with headaches all the time. What may be wrong with me?

So I'm thirteen and I have ibs pretty bad it sucks. Like today I was at the beach and I ate lunch with my friend and I had a terrible stomach ache going back and forth to the bathroom. Its pretty embarrassing. And every time I went back to the beach I took three immodiums (anti dihereal) and it barely helped witch was strange. Well i have been having problems at home, actually i have been having them for quite some time. The parents do get blamed. Due to the fact that they are minors and it's the parents responsibility to control their child. I honestly think it's crap. I'm 17, and a male. I usually feel sick in the morning, mainly after or during breakfast, and it usually goes away a while before lunch around 12:30. My husband was diagnosed almost 10 years ago. He will be turning 65, diagnosed with Hep C (15 yrs ago), still continues to drink alcohol on regular basis. I have serious depression and need help?

You clearly want to talk about what your brother did to you. You just need to find the right counselor and it would also be a good idea to talk to someone you trust about it as well. You don't want to kill yourself that is why you "failed" at it. You want to live. You want to be happy. Medication can help to a certain degree but you can't use that in replace of therapy because then you are only masking your problems, not dealing with them. It is a long road, but well worth it in the end. You need a good counselor (if you don't like this one change it) & you need a good ear to listen to you. What if there is someone out there you could possibly meet in the future that is in the place your are in now? If you kill yourself then you will never be able to help that person who would turn to you for advice. It's great that music is helping you! Writing stories, poems, songs & painting are also great outlets. So is writing a letter (you don't have to show anyone) to those who have hurt you & expressing how you feel. Why are SPL teams not allowed?

to field teams in the third division? The game here is dying on its feet and competitive football every week for 16-21yr olds would give the whole thing a lift. Its fairly safe to say that every team in the SPL has talented youngsters that are being freed as reserve team football just isn't helping them develop. Teams like Barcelona don't produce so many brilliant young players just because of who they are, its because of a well thought out infrastructure added to the fact their second team are allowed to play in the lower divisions, so if its good enough for them why do the decision makers here think our clubs are above that? As a small nation with no real expectations on our clubs and national team Scotland should be pioneers in the development of young players , instead of the laughing stock we have been for years and are seemingly set to be for the next few decades.

Should I be more concerned about my dog being around my dad's dogs?

My dad has a 13 y o german shepherd (Chief), a 13 y o lab (Remy) and an 8 month old yorkie (Teddy). My dog is a 7.4 lb Pom/chi and her and Teddy are best friends, so I take her with me whenever I go, usually from early Saturday to late Sunday and maybe another day or two. The big dogs have been ok with her so far (her and Teddy even gang up on them and steal their toys and treats) , but Chief is going deaf and Remy is in increasing pain from hip dysplasia, and is being tested currently for kidney failure, which they think he has. I know dogs get more irritable from pain and illness, and jumpier when they go deaf, and one snap from them could be pretty catastrophic. I always supervise closely the entire time, but should I start keeping her totally away from them?

Okay, so i went to a baseball game and i didnt put on sunscreen because it said it was going to be like 70 degrees or something and we also forgot to bring it. How do other adults feel about getting braces?

Here's the thing. I had braces as a youngster, but some of my teeth have moved back, and it's creating abnormal wearing surfaces. HEALTHY dog food for my sensitive dog?

My dog Lucy is a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. When I first adopted her, she was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and after many food switches, we (my vet and I) decided on Science Diet for sensitive stomache. At that point, I was just happy to get her tummy feeling better; I didn't care about ingredients or anything. She was also on Flagyll (spelling?) every day. Eventually, it got to the point where she was weaned off the Flagyll and I attested it to the food. However, the vet says she might have just grown out of the IBS. But recently, I've done some research on Science Diet and I'm really concerned about the ingredients in her food. I want to try something else but I don't even know where to start. Does anyone have any ideas of HEALTHY dog food for my Lucy's upset tummy?

My doctor said they will let me go TWO weeks over due and then induce. To me this is ridiculous, I understand he will come when he's ready and from every other comment I read there is nothing I can do about it:( But honestly i'm stressed. My feet are swollen and turn blue quick when im standing. I have a little figure and honestly think my body is done being pregnant, but baby does not agree. Ive asked my doc for a letter to my county worker cause as of now im on assistance and have 35 hours of looking for a job that i will never get. a total waste of time. And she refused to write one. She is totally against me! So i cant make my 5 hours a day of applying for jobs and running around town for an interview that i already know im not getting the job for so im stressed that i will lose my assistance. All this stress i feel like is keeping my baby inside? And no one seems to understand. Im not a big complainer so i dont push anything when i go in to the doctor, i figure she will help me or she wont. does anyone have any advice for my next visit? I;m seeing my MD? and im hoping she will give me that gel.. or something to start this process.

Camping tips: making things comfortable for camping newbies?

Make sure you bring a lot of bugspray because there will be bugs! And if you don't want them getting in your tent then make sure you don't leave the flap open and just remember that they are attracted to light at night. Make sure the tent is big enough to fit everyone. To make it more comfortable you should air mattresses to sleep on and you just put your sleeping bags on top of them. As for the weather just make sure you pack warm clothes for night and regular clothes for the day if it will be warm. Make sure you bring a lot of water too and food of course. Bring matches or lighters to start a fire which you can do by making a circle of rocks and putting wood in the middle to light. Just make sure you put it out before you go to sleep! Make sure the food is contained so animals can't get into it and I suggest not keeping food in the tent lol. And make sure you have a hammer or mallet for when your putting up the tent so you can put the stakes in the ground so the tent stays in place. Other than that just sit back and have fun! When I go camping i also like to bring glo stix just for some fun at nite haha. :]

Second interview at Hooters, what should I wear?

My first interview went really well, and I have a second interview with the General Manager, who is a woman. We have several IBD cats in our clinic that actually improved drastically after removing all dry food from their diets and switching over to a grainless raw one. If you are ok with medicating I would definitaly talk to your doctor about switching back over to a raw diet since your cat had been doing well on one before and is showing signs that a 'normal' diet is just not for him. If you do decide to switch back over to a raw diet and medicate you will end up with a corticosteroid to relieve the bowel inflamation, most likely prednisone, and an anti emitic to contrtol vomiting.

yesterday I was on my way down to join the Parade for the annual Armed Forces Day, proudly wearing my Medals. When a group of what I can only describe as yobs at a guess I would say in their early 20's started to call me names, spit at me call me a disgrace, and saying I should throw my medals away or get them melted down. I am not saying all youngsters of this age are the same as I know they are not. But why shouldn't I be proud of the fact I have served my country and be proud to wear my Medals, without having to go through this abuse. Have these what I call Yobs not got any respect at all.

By staring into space I mean I like stare at the wall for about half an hour and I don't know what's happening. I slept last night for 9 hours. The night before I slept about 5. Explain that the vomiting and constipation has been cured but that you are concerned that your cat is not interested in his food and he has a minimal amount of energy. Ask whether you could gradually introduce other food items such as chicken into his diet and if you did would his IBD return. What the heck is wrong with me?

I have a huge house, lots of space, horses, a cat, a dog, a guitar, riding lessons + guitar lessons, flatscreens all over the house, a laptop, and I'm not happy. I wake up every morning annoyed, if I can even get to bed after tossing around for an hour before I fall asleep and waking up in the middle of the night. How often should I eat junk food if I am addicted? Only people with successful weight loss experience please?

Okay so I've been dieting and exercising but I've had some real issues with the whole 'junk food in moderation' thing. I know that it's simple- eat healthy most of the time and treat yourself occasionally. The problem with me is junk food is an addiction for me. The cravings hit and I CAN'T get it off my mind, I get irritable and impatient and it's always the 'just this once' but it happens EVERYDAY, and I over do it too and eat way too much. It's just like when you quit smoking, you cant just have a smoke a few times a week, then the cravings never go away. Is that like junk food? Should I cut it out until I don't extremely crave it and think about it constantly? Or would that be 'depriving myself' and wouldn't work? I really need someone with experience to help me out, please. Only from experience.
