Is Hersonissos is Crete a great clubbers holiday?

My friends and are all all 18 and are going to hersonissos on holiday in August. We know that it's a short taxi ride to Malia but I was wondering her hersonissos itself a great place for youngsters to go? My friend and I went to Stalis last year which is the next town to where we are this year and it was pretty quiet xox
